Privacy Policy
Last updated : June 18, 2026
This policy explains what personal information SOLTRAVA collects, why, how it is used and protected, and what your rights are. It is written in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
1. Person in charge of personal information
SOLTRAVA is responsible for the personal information it collects. For any question about this policy or to exercise your rights, you can reach our person in charge of the protection of personal information at contact@mcsedition.org.
2. Information we collect
We limit collection to what is strictly necessary to send you relevant alerts. We collect the information you provide when you create your account:
- Your email address (required, to identify you and send you alerts);
- Your first name (required) and your last name (optional);
- Your travel preferences: departure airport and arrival destination;
- Your target budget for a package.
Because sign-in uses a magic link, we do not collect or store any password.
3. Why we use this information
Your information is used only to: create and secure your account; authenticate you through a magic link; detect price drops matching your preferences (departure, destination, budget); send you alerts by email; and improve the relevance of the service. We do not use your information for other purposes without your consent.
4. Consent and withdrawal
By creating an account, you give free and informed consent to the collection and use of your information for the purposes described above, and to receive our alert emails in accordance with CASL. You may withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing from any email or by deleting your account. Withdrawing consent ends the alerts.
5. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the service (for example, email delivery and hosting), bound by contract to protect it and to use it only on our behalf. If a provider processes information outside Quebec, we take the necessary steps to ensure adequate protection.
6. Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account or withdraw your consent, we delete or anonymize your information within a reasonable time, subject to legal retention obligations.
7. Security
We put in place reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your information against loss, unauthorized access, disclosure or alteration. The absence of a password (magic-link sign-in) reduces the risks tied to credential theft.
8. Your rights
In accordance with Law 25, you have the right to access your information, have it corrected, withdraw your consent, request deletion of your account and obtain the portability of your computerized information. To exercise these rights, write to us at contact@mcsedition.org. You may also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
9. Cookies
The site uses the minimum cookies necessary for its operation and for your sign-in session. Where applicable, any analytics cookie is enabled only with your consent, which you can manage from your browser.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If a change is significant, we will notify you by email or on the site. The date of the most recent update appears at the top of this page.
11. Contact us
For any question, request or complaint regarding your personal information, write to our person in charge of the protection of personal information at contact@mcsedition.org.
